Optimising fuel import costs.

Every diesel and petrol importer fulfils Poland’s National Indicative Target (NCW) and bears its cost. Danske Gas S.A. offers to take over importing on importers’ behalf: you buy the fuel from us and we fulfil the NCW obligation under our own model. We guarantee a fuel cost lower than when importing on your own – by up to several dozen PLN per m³.

Sources of the cost advantage.
01

The NCW as a cost to the importer.

The National Indicative Target is imposed on every entity placing imported fuel on the market. Fulfilling the obligation – with biocomponents and other statutory mechanisms – forms part of the cost of every cubic metre. The method of fulfilment determines how high that cost is.

02

A portfolio of over a dozen products.

We fulfil the obligation with a portfolio of over a dozen products, including bioLNG and electricity. Our own algorithm selects the most cost-optimised configuration for a given basket of deliveries. The portfolio includes our own proprietary solutions, unique in Poland.

03

The NCW optimisation algorithm.

The algorithm is a proprietary Danske Gas solution. The model calculates continuously, with every change in market prices, and for each basket of deliveries keeps the lowest-cost configuration up to date. The result forms the basis of the price we quote to you.

04

Bio-blending and long-term contracts.

Bio-blending is mandatory: we blend biocomponents into diesel and bioethanol into petrol, at the required share. We meet the remaining part of the NCW for both fuels with a dynamic portfolio of over a dozen products: from long-term contracts to new-generation solutions that bring the fuel market and the energy market together. The configuration is tailored to each batch and, as a rule, cannot be repeated.

05

A fixed NCW price and assumption of risk.

The NCW price for a consignment is fixed, and the risk of changes in the cost of fulfilling the obligation after the transaction is concluded is borne by Danske Gas. You receive a guaranteed price, lower than when importing on your own – by up to several dozen PLN per m³. The guarantee is a contractual provision.

06

Import financing.

Danske Gas can provide import financing, including for deliveries in full seaborne cargoes. The scope and terms of financing are agreed individually, according to the volume and delivery schedule.

Importers’ questions.

What changes on the importer’s side?

You move your purchases of diesel and petrol to Danske Gas, which acts as the importer. The NCW obligation for that volume, together with record-keeping and settlement, passes to Danske Gas. The offer covers deliveries by road tanker and by rail, as well as full seaborne cargoes.

How does the annual settlement work?

We settle the NCW for the calendar year for the entire volume you purchase from Danske Gas. We keep records of the consignments and products used for fulfilment; on request we provide a statement for your volume. The biocomponent chain holds KZR INiG certification and Bureau Veritas attestation.

An offer for diesel and petrol importers: road tankers, rail, full seaborne cargoes. Pricing depends on volume, ports, timing and consignment structure. The full set of licences, registers and identifiers can be found in the Corporate governance section.
